Frequently asked questions

The key questions about T-Driver — answered briefly and honestly.

What exactly does T-Driver do?

T-Driver reads your digital driver card and analyses it: working time (16-week average), driving and rest times, infringements, time per country, a minimum-wage check and document deadlines. Everything runs on your device.

Do I need an account or login?

No. T-Driver needs no account, no sign-in and no email. No card data is uploaded — everything stays local on the device.

How do I read the driver card with my phone?

You put the card into a standard USB-C card reader and connect it to your Android phone or tablet. iOS is in preparation: because the driver card is a contact smartcard, the iPhone needs a Bluetooth card reader.

Can I send the original signed DDD file?

Yes. After reading, you can send the original signed DDD file with one tap via mail, WhatsApp & co. That saves you the trip to the office when the remaining days can no longer be read via telematics or when the card has to be read one last time after leaving the company.

Can my employer see my data?

No. The analysis happens solely on your device, nothing is transmitted. Neither your employer nor TADMIN receives your driver-card data.

Is this legal advice?

No. T-Driver provides guidance based on your card data. Every calculation is backed by the applicable rule and official source (see “Legal basis”), but it does not replace legal advice.

What language is the app in?

In your language — by default it follows your device language, but you can choose freely. German and English are complete, more languages will follow.

What does T-Driver cost?

The core features are free. You unlock Premium once for €5.00 (no subscription, no ads); you enter the activation code in the app — verified offline, without an account.

Which documents can I have monitored?

Driver card, driving licence, driver qualification (code 95), ADR certificate, ID card, passport and medical examination. You photograph the document, the app reads the expiry date on-device and reminds you in time.

Which laws are the calculations based on?

Among others Regulation (EC) 561/2006 (driving/rest times), Directives 2002/15/EC and 2003/88/EC (working time), Regulation (EU) 165/2014 (tachograph), Directives (EU) 2020/1057 and 96/71/EC (posting/minimum wage) and national rules per country — all with sources on the “Legal basis” page.
